The high ceiling, great food, non-pillars, golden walls are some that attracted Joe’s parents. The maximum tables for the ballroom is 45 but we estimated only 30 tables, this means we will have ample of space to move around. We are also very pleased with Sheraton’s reception as it is very much roomy with several sofa crouches around.
Then again, there were some hesitations to lose Hyatt. Although Hyatt has low ceiling and pillars, the manger was much pleasant and flexible as compared to Sheraton. He conceded to most of our request, including securing 3 additional guest rooms. Not forgetting the wonderful location; heart of Orchard Road, how often do you get to stay in a hotel in Orchard Road?
Joe’s parents concern was not only the food, they also like the brightness of Sheraton’s ballroom as Hyatt’s ballroom tent to be a little depressing. Sheraton lighting was rather typical bright wedding lights but Hyatt has a bit of the gothic look. Naturally it’s understandable how the older generation would feel towards gothic
In order to enjoy Sheraton’s additional perks at the wedding show, we had to make our decision right away. If we were to walk away and think about it a little more, not only we are not able to enjoy the additional perks, we also risk losing the ballroom reserved date. That is why we when ahead to confirm it.
All in all, I am happy. Although I am not entirely sure Sheraton would be a perfect place but I am excited. We have finally settled on the venue, that is one major step. The next big step would be the bridal studio which I’m so glad we have complete control over this decision.
