Singapore Grand Hyatt

Yesterday’s trip to Hyatt was pretty fruitful. Although we still couldn’t decide if Hyatt was going to be the one, at least we have a good idea of what kind of package they’re offering.

Due to the number of tables we estimated, it seems like we can only have the “pillared” ballroom, Magnolia room. One thing good about the room is its closer to the changing/ hotel room. The bad thing is of course are the pillars. However, we are pleased that there are flat screen TVs to focus on the stage. As the manager explained, there will only be 1-2 people blocked because in fact, there isn’t any table directly behind the pillars. So I guess we can put our friends at the “pillared” tables cos friends are more magnanimous.

The other room we really like was the Stamford room. Unfortunately we couldn’t have the room because it is too small. I was much impressed by the additional spacious lounge outside the ballroom including a nice piano by the side. The only down side with this ballroom was the accessibility to the changing room.

I was glad that the sales manager was quite flexible in someway as I made some extraordinary request such as bridal car in front of hotel, rehearsal at the ballrooms, he seems fine with them as long as they are available.

Naturally, we also felt that it’ll be much better if he could give us more, like the additional guest rooms, better favours (other than chocolate) the complimentary use of the LCD and waiving the corkage etc.

To sum up, here are our likes and dislikes.

What we like
